New Marketing Manager

November 16, 1973

Dear BD-5 Builder:

Although some of you may already know me, I do want to introduce myself as the newly-appointed Marketing Manager for Bede Aircraft, Inc. Until the end of the last month I was at the company's Cleveland, Ohio office, where I have been with this company for four years.

I am also writing to let you know of one or two changes we are making in our organization, as well as the steps we are going to introduce to better serve you, our customer.

First of all, we are making a concentrated effort to complete shipment of both materials and assembly instructions to you as soon as possible. In fact, Supplementary Materials Package No. 4 (which contains a large amount of additional materials, including horizontal stabilizer, landing gear and remainder fuselage parts) will start going out at the end of this week.

We are also furiously working on the "Construction Profile," and trying to get completed plans to you as soon as possible.

One thing I am introducing, starting this week, is a regular "Information Bulletin" that we will mail to you periodically, and this should keep you up to date with what's going on. The Bulletin will also contain technical advice and information of use to all of you who have already started construction. Frank Andrews will be compiling this and he will not only include general information, but also a lot of technical advice for all of you now building your aircraft.

The important thing is that you will be "kept informed," and we hope that, in turn, this will reduce the input of both letters and phone calls that we have been receiving -- mainly seeking construction advice -- and leave us with more time to complete the construction manual and get all materials in stock and shipped to you.

As time goes on, any questions you might have regarding construction of your aircraft and which are not covered by our "Information Bulletin," can be sent to Frank Andrews, who will answer them in subsequent issues of the Bulletin.

Thank you for your support thus far, and good luck with building your BD-5.

Sincerely,

<signed>

John Hall, Marketing Manager, Bede Aircraft Incorporated.
